Titles Analysis

From looking at many different opening scenes, I have found that different types of titles are presented in various ways. For example:

INSIDIOUS TITLE SEQUENCE

--> Names of production companies.
--> Film title - in a serif font, different from the rest.
--> Cast names.
--> Crew names.
--> Producers name's.
--> Director's name.
--> All of the titles are in red, to represent an indication of genre. They are all shown in front of a different sinister background for each title apart from the film title.

IT TITLE SEQUENCE

--> Producer's name.
--> Shows that it's based on a novel.
--> Crew names.
--> Director's name.
--> All fonts are plain and serif other than the film title which is in a spooky red font as in indication of genre.
--> Film title.
--> All titles are presented over the film.

THE EXORCIST TITLE SEQUENCE

--> Producer's name.
--> Crew names.
--> Titles are shown over a plain black background.
--> All titles are in the same san-serif font in red to connote genre.

CORALINE OPENING SEQUENCE

--> Film title - in specific font according to the genre/narrative.
--> Cast names - presented in front of a patterned background.
--> Crew names - presented in front of video clips from the film.
--> The font is the same for all the titles and is serif, plain writing. Apart from the film title.

JAKE MYER AND JESSIE WOLAMRK:

Titles For Our Opening Sequence

We have used After Effects to create the titles that will appear on our opening sequence. These titles include: the name of the director, the names of the main actors, the names of the producers and the title of the film. We will add these titles once we have organised the editing of the footage.
